We have the Asparagus-etched Modofly Moleskine gardener's journal (5.25"x8.25", gridded) we recommended in the
Gardenaut Gift Guide sitting here, and it's been mumbling about how we really shouldn't keep it, because that would be selfish. So we want to give it away, and better yet, we want to tell you that if you want to buy one of your own - Asparagus or another one of their really cool designs, in whatever size and format you like, you can use a 10% off discount code they set up for us, and get your own! The code is ZRECS. There is someone in your life who will think one of these is an amazingly thoughtful and intriguing gift - check out their range of designs and you'll see what I mean. These puppies sell for $36 (smaller ones for $22), are etched to order by folks who put talented artists' illustrations on premium journals every day as the orders roll in, and they are worth talking about as well as writing in.
The ZRECS discount code is only good through December 13, which means you need to hustle, because that's about the latest they can accept orders and guarantee that you'll get it before Christmas.
However, you also have a chance at getting our sample, which is in mint condition and is a lovely book. As a gardener, there is really nothing like having a detailed log, complete with funny pictures, inspirations and ideas, weird diagrams &c. to carry you through the winter and help you learn from your experience.
If you'd like a chance to win this book, visit the
Tranquil Parent Gift Guide, find something you like, and come back here and comment about it. We'll accept entries until 5 p.m. CT Thursday, Dec. 11, and will email the winner that night to let them know they won, so please make sure you're using an address you live and breathe at when you submit your comment.
I love the Graphic Napkins and Placemat. There’s just something about vintage patterns & fabrics that I absolutely can’t resist!!
I like the re-teez tote bags!
I love the envirosax bags, this just reminded me that I wanted to gift everyone I know with reusable grocery bags this year, I guess I should order them now. thanks!
I would love to get the Singer Curvy sewing machine as a gift. My machine is on its last leg.
I actually want everything on that list, maybe i should send a copy to my husband :)
I like the Seda France Bon Chic Soy Candles. I love candles. Thanks for the chance to win.
Apparently, third time is a charm in hopes of posting. I love the Heifer International gift idea. We have both given and received goats in past Christmases. I think I’ll get something this year as well.
I’m finding gifts for everyone on my list.
I like the Ultrasonic aromatherapy diffuser for my oldest daughter, Singer Curvy sewing machine for 2nd daughter, Ready-Made Magazine for myself, Bamboo Low Bowl for my mom, ReTeez for the girls boyfriends, The Shoul for my best friend, Mozaniac Picture Puzzles for my at some point son in law, Loggerhead’s Bionic Wrench for my dad, Numi’s Bouquet Bamboo Gift Set for friends, Move ‘N Groove Kids DVD for my grandkids, and Purrfect Pet’s cat toys for all 4 of our cats
Now, are these gifts for ourselves or do we have to give them away? I may have to order some of the Igna-fire chocolates for me. I think Heifer International and Project Peanut Butter are both great causes. (I believe Happy Baby Food contributes to Project Peanut Butter, which makes me feel a little better about being too lazy to make my own organic baby food cubes!)
I really like the Seda France Bon Chic Soy Candles
I love, love, love the frog tape dispenser. As wild a choice as that may sound, it is so much better than the non~ eco~friendly dispenser we currently have! And, hey! Who doesn’t love to have a lil’ bit of frogginess in their life?!!! : )))
Thanks so much for this fabulous give~away! : )))

I love the Katherine Anne Confections’ handmade truffles. I enjoy pumpkin pie, so the idea of a pumpkin truffle sounds intriguing. And who can resist a gift of chocolate??
Wow - my pick is the THE SQUEEZE fabric coffee cozy. I would definatelt be happy to get one of these for Christmas this year, what a great idea and so good for the environment. I would just leave mine in my drawer at work so it would be so easy to bring it with me for my morning coffee.
Therapeutic feeding for malnourished children - what a very cool thing to have on your list! Fantastic idea.
As for the Moleskine, I’ve been an addict for years. But if I won, I might have to part with it. My best friend comes from a long line of asparagus farmers, and there’s quite a shortage of asparagus-themed gifts out there…
The grafitti china is beautiful. I love the pattern -very unique.
I would love the The Find One Find All keyfinder for all those times that I’m trying to get out the door and my keys have magically disappeared again. Thanks!
I love garlic.
The Garlic Zester is an neat idea! It would definately be a good gift for my boyfriend who is also a HUGE fan of garlic.
It would definately get good use from us.
Ha! I’m going with the Artisan Chickens. They are hilarious! I could put those things in my kitchen for a convo starter. Love ‘em.
I like the Yoga Garden Game. I would really enjoy playing this with my daughters.
I would love to have a Wii Fit. My husband is a gamer so did the whole camping out thing so we were able to snap a Wii early on, but this sounds like the attachment I would use a lot. Thanks for the giveaway.
I like the Bosch Mixxo, I’ve been looking for a good immersion blender for my sister, and I saw a pretty good review on this one.
I really like the Ultrasonic diffuser, but I’d also want the Lotus yoga mat (which I’ve wanted since you first reviewed them, and I still haven’t sprung for one!).
I love the reciprocal giveaways between the sites, btw!
I’d love the Singer Curvy sewing machine! It would be perfect!
Love the reteez bag. What a great idea!
I love the grafitti china
I’d love the sewing machine because I want to start making dolls!
I’d like the he CARES Child Aviation Restraint System since we will be flying to visit family at least once a year.
I love the Ultrasonic aromatherapy diffuser.
